Our Program

Sean McGrath

Sean McGrathSince starting the program in 1998, Sean has seen Operation Click expand well beyond what was once a simple community based program. Sean is dedicated to saving lives and protecting today’s teens through traffic safety means. Sean has been a police officer since 1991. As a police officer, Sean has seen over and over the impact that safe, responsible driving has with saving lives. That is what drives him to do what he does. Sean was the recipient of the “J. Stannard Baker Award” from the International Association of Chiefs of Police in 2008. The “J. Stannard Baker Award” is in recognition of a career dedicated to traffic safety initiatives. This award is issued to only one municipal police officer each year worldwide. Sean is a member of the Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police and sits on the statewide traffic safety board. Sean has been recognized by local civic groups and media, for his traffic safety initiatives. This is due to the success of Operation Click and also for helping to organize and oversee the Safe Kids chapter in McHenry County, Illinois. When not working his full time job and also overseeing Operation Click, Sean enjoys spending time with his wife and two teenagers… and maybe a little golf.
